Why I'm Running
This race is personal. I’m running because TX30 deserves a leader who understands the challenges of building a business, raising a family, and keeping our communities safe. I may not be a bigtime celebrity with a bunch of Hollywood friendI’m committed to integrity, hard work, and putting people over politics. With your help, we’ll bring common-sense solutions to Washington, defend our values, and ensure every North Texan has a voice.
Humble Beginnings
I grew up right here in North Texas—raised by a single teenage mom who worked long hours to make ends meet. We didn’t have much, but we had resilience. Life wasn’t easy. I made some of the same mistakes a lot of young men make when opportunity feels out of reach. But I also made a decision—to take responsibility for my future. I finished high school, joined the U.S. Army, and served honorably. That was the turning point that helped me turn hardship into discipline and direction.
Finding My Purpose
Coming back home, I waited tables and worked sales jobs while putting myself through college at UT-Dallas. Then I went on to earn a law degree from Texas Southern University—because I believed everyday people deserved a voice in a system stacked against them. In 2014, I opened my own law firm, where for over a decade I’ve fought powerful institutions on behalf of working families, veterans, and small business owners. No headlines. Just honest advocacy and meaningful results. Along the way, I married my childhood sweetheart, started a family, and deepened my commitment to the values that shaped me: faith, family, and service.
Life Today
I’m running for Congress because our district—and our country—deserve leadership grounded in real life, not political ambition. For too long, Washington has ignored the everyday concerns of people in TX‑30. Rent’s exploding, crime is rising, and small businesses are struggling to survive—while career politicians keep chasing headlines. I’m not one of them. I’m one of you. I know what it means to work for every opportunity, and I believe it's time to bring common sense, courage, and real-world experience back into the halls of power. I’m Sholdon Daniels, and I’m ready to fight for our future.
